Donations
As a not for profit organization dedicated to helping those in need, the Maria M. Love Convalescent Fund relies solely on the generosity of our donors. We receive no government funding whatsoever.
Our two main fundraisers are the Annual Charity Ball for students, held in early December and a Spring Luncheon for members of our board and their guests.
In addition, donations are accepted throughout the year. A gift to the Maria M. Love Convalescent Fund in honor of a special occasion or in memory of someone enables us to help the less-fortunate and is a wonderful way to remember a friend or family member.
We are grateful for each donation regardless of size.
Gifts to the Maria M. Love Convalescent Fund may come in many forms. We also welcome the following:
Will Bequests
Naming the Maria M. Love Convalescent Fund in your Will is one of the easiest ways to make a gift. A charitable bequest may also result in significant estate tax savings.
Gifts of Securities
Gifts of securities may afford immediate benefits to the donor, as well as the Maria M. Love Convalescent Fund. A gift of securities may:
Gifts of Retirement Assets
Unused funds in retirement plans can be heavily taxed, making them a desirable asset to leave to the Maria M. Love Convalescent Fund.
Consider naming the Maria M. Love Convalescent Fund as the primary or secondary beneficiary of your plan by filling out a “Change of Beneficiary Form” available from your plan administrator. Your estate will receive an estate tax deduction for any plan assets payable to the Maria M. Love Convalescent Fund.
Consider gifting your minimum required distribution to the Maria M. Love Convalescent Fund, offsetting some or all of the taxable income resulting from the distribution.
